FALHC are delighted to announce that they have attained Gold Club Accreditation Status from Scottish Hockey for the first time
Club Chair, Michael Watson said:
"This has been the culmination of a lot of hard work from the club, and thanks must go to all of those members that have directly contributed to the application, and indirectly, through embedding best practices in all our actions. Whilst it may not seem like much to the general membership, it is a hugh achievement to become one of the first East District clubs to achieve this award, and it certainly enhances our standing within the sport in Scotland"
Scottish Hockey CEO, Barry Cawte commented:
"Gold Club Accreditation recognises you as a strong club that supports workforce, is well organised and efficient, and is a safe and nurturing environment for its members. In addition to this, you have displayed that you are a club that is at the heart of the community and are striving to make hockey an inclusive sport for all."
The review panel were massively impressed with the club's application, citing it as a role model for Gold Clubs, and in particular, our Junior Pathway which was an example of "best practice".
