A good start to the quarter today saw the M2s open up the game with a goal early on. A fantastic aerial from Lewis landed perfectly at the back of the post for Kev to calmly slot away! The team carried on moving the ball well around the back and some great interlink play with the midfield between Hamish, John, Mike Gordon and Lewis. The 2nd goal again came from a great pass by Lewis to Ross McHarg who put it away quickly. We ended the 2nd half 2 nil up with some great play.
The second half opened up well and we saw some of the great play we started with carry through. Daryl got a fantastic reverse strike at the top of the D taking it to 3 nil. The travel of play after this was very one way with Lewis sending another aerial and Greg taking it above head height to score the 4th. We had some luck in the D where we won a few short corners and converted them. 5th goal came from a short corner where Lewis put ball back to the injector and Ian Porter slapping it away for the 5th. Final goal came from a fantastic on shot target from Hamish top of D who we all thought had scored the goal. Little did we know Kev got a touch to score the 6th. Fantastic start to season. Some big games ahead and great to start on a high. MOTM was Hamish McGowan
