M2s vs Dunfermline Carnegie 3

The second half of season begun with the derby in the sunshine of Linlithgow. After a really positive first half of the season all were keen to keep the momentum going.

An early goal in the first quarter set the M2s off on the right track. It started with quick thinking by Gordon taking the free hit early and finding Kev in space, he worked his way into the D and hit a great cross shot to the back post which Johnny finished off nicely.

Despite it being the first game back there was some nice flowing moves and the second goal came in the next quarter. It was much like the first but this time Johnny getting the assist and Ross M finishing well at the back post.

Carnegie snuck a goal in just before the half time whistle. The second half was pretty even throughout with both teams wasting a couple of opportunities. Carnegie did get the equaliser though after Paul made super save with his head only for the rebound to fall to their striker who put away a nice reverse stick finish

However M2s kept pushing for the winner and after a couple of huge chops in the D were given the penalty flick. With nerves of steel Murray rattled it into side netting. The last couple of minutes the M2s held firm and got the three points to continue the push for a champions league position!!

Well done all for a great effort and positive attitude throughout the game. Lets keep that going!
