M2s vs Dunfermline Carnegie 3

The team travelled across the bridge in good spirits after last weekends win. A good quick start saw F&L begin the game the stronger of the teams creating a couple of opportunities. However Carnegie stung them on the break with a good solo goal

F&L though continued to knock on the door and got their rewards from a PC which Daryl despatched from top of the D. The forwards continued to open up Carnegie and after nice run by Jonny down the wing and into the D he found Daryl who slotted home his second.

Carnegie broke away again before half time and managed to equaliser with a PC of their own. The 3rd quarter Carnegie had all the play high up the pitch but thanks to some great interceptions and tackles by Martin, confident composed channelling and defending by Colin B who has settled into the twos so well and brave saves by Paul the defence managed to hold out from the onslaught! Then Michael C managed to find space at the top of the D and spotted the goalie having gone walkies slipped the ball into near post to make it 3-2. Quickly after in now lashing rain a PC was won and after a bit of ping pong the ball found the cool head of Kev who smashed in the goal to make the result for last few minutes more comfortable

Whilst might not have been the complete performance another win to cement a good start to the season! Two weeks off before we play top of table Stirling Uni on Sunday 23rd!
