It took a bit of work, but MDevs managed to get a team out to face Grange this week. Due to some of the juniors being called up to make a debut, the match was played as a friendly and points given to Grange, as the main thing was having the match go ahead.
MDevs dominated the first half possession and territory but were wasteful in front of goals, and it was 0-0 at the ht break.
Grange took a shock lead after MDevs gave away possession in midfield, but the home side were quickly level when a strong run from David Jewell into the D resulted in a cut back which Ross Crerar smashed home.
As the game headed for a draw, Derek Morrison scored from a penalty corner, although it was heading wide and deflected in by a defenders stick.
There were debuts for Alfie Kay and Teagan Brodie, who both worked hard on and off the ball, and had some nice touches in and around the D.
Thanks also to Bryce Forbes for guesting in goals, and pulling off a fine right foot block when the scores were tied at 1-1.
And finally thanks to all those that stepped up today to make sure the game went ahead.
