FALHC MDevs got their season off to a great start with a comprehensive win over Eskvale.
We opened the scoring from an Andrew Lambert penalty corner strike, and added 2 more in the first ¼ from further penalty corners, with Arthur Robertson and Lambert again getting on the scoresheet.
The 2nd ¼ saw a quickfire double from Michael Watson, and hat-trick from Iain Cameron as FAL led 8-0 at the break.
Throughout the 1st half Eskvale had tried to play out from the back, and this continued in the 2nd half with more success as gaps appeared in the FAL "press", but the defence stood firm with Adam Gardiner guesting in goals, and making some vital blocks to keep his clean sheet intact.
More goals eventually arrived for the home side. Robertson got his second from another PC, Michael Campbell nudged one in from the shortest of distances, Lliam Foster deflected in another PC to go with his 4 assists, before Colin Binnie rattled one into the bottom corner with a strike from the top of the D. Watson completed his hat-trick and the scoring with the last hit of the match.
POTM was Andrew Lambert on his debut for the club.
