M3s vs Falkirk & Linlithgow L1

Great Tuesday evening for what turned out to be a great game.

Ladies 1s inviting the men's 3s with a few helpers to their training night to play a friendly before the league starts at the weekend.

From the start the 3's dominated the play controlling most of the ball, pushing the attack and getting many circle penetrations without getting any "outcomes". Ladies had their chances picking up and countering on us with great pace only to run into a stern defensive unit.

Break through came for the 3s first after a couple penalty corners the ball fell a yard from goal and got recycled out and to top D where Charles flicked at goal/Cyb where Cyb got a deflection which saw it end in the back of the net.

Before the end of the half the ladies equalized from there own penalty corner, ball breaking loose from the injection and falling on the left edge of the D where the shot was placed past the out rushing defender and past the unsighted keeper.

Second half saw for a change very few strong words from the 3s as the play overall deserved praise, a few clarification points then saw the second half start as the first had finished the 3s with majority of possession and ladies countering well.

3s saw more circle penetrations which didn't yield much joy but making the opportunities was the big positive. These chances kept coming and saw Charles again create the chance for Gardner to slot home and restore the 3s lead.

The game then tipped slightly into the ladies favour as the 3s lost their midfield shape allowing the ladies to get the ball through and create more chances of their own. Defence held strong with Louise making a cracking save to preserve our lead. Dying moments of the game the ladies got a penalty corner which saw the full time whistle blow, all hands to the pump defence saw a reaward before the ladies got a shot away that was deemed a foul and saw the match end.

Overall great match for all involved.

Special shout to Alexander who had a great game up front!
